Field Supervisor

Clunn Acoustical Systems (CAS) is seeking a highly motivated Field Superintendent to join our team. Clunn Acoustical Systems was founded in 1984, and is located outside Tomball. The Field Superintendent is responsible for ensuring efficient, on schedule, within budget and safe job completion. They serve as a liaison between the field, general contractors, project managers, and office personnel and serve as a representative of the company. They are required to work mostly remotely in the field and travel from jobsite to jobsite in the greater Houston area. Some overnight travel may occasionally be required. They must be proficient in commercial construction, safety regulations, job management, and personnel management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitoring job progress and assisting in keeping jobs on schedule, within budget, and to company standards
  • Communicate and work with Project Managers
    • Assist in planning and coordinating projects
    • Review job details to ensure all material and equipment is secured
    • Carry out PM’s schedule
    • Act on behalf of PM when they are unavailable
    • Communicate jobsite needs to PM
  • Work with General Contractors on each job
  • Work with Field to efficient, on time, and within or under budget job completion
    • Manage field employees schedules and locations
    • Ensure all field employees
      • Are properly trained
      • Following company policies
      • Following Jobsite policies
      • Working safely and following all safety regulations
      • Working efficiently
    • Work with Foremen on
      • Scheduling inventory efficiently
      • Managing crew
      • Communicating with GCs
  • Responsible for all company property assigned to field
  • Send potential new hires to office for applications
  • Employee discipline and termination
  • Communicate with management
  • Field new hires
  • Field termination
  • Maintain line of communication with PMs, Inventory, GCs, and field
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relations
  • Visiting jobsites to ensure schedules, safety, safety, and quality

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), PlanGrid, BlueBeam
  • Capable of using an IPad
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of construction principals and equipment capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to keep track of multiple projects
  • Drive a standard truck
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus

Qualification & Experience

  • 5+ Years Construction Field Management experience
  • Preferred experience in Drywall/Acoustical
  • Valid Driver’s License
